I created this postcard in order to communicate a sensitive message to a local community of businesses and residents. My thought process was to condense the message into a very consumable, yet interesting design that would actually be read and appreciated when arriving to households and businesses. By using colors and clear divisions, you can see this is a three-part message: first, I addressed the main issue directly, then I talk about what good is to come out of this situation, and then lastly, what to look forward to (which happens to be the planting of new trees). There were a lot more details that could have been included with this communication, but we felt that keeping the message short and direct, that we could get better readership.
